Putting this back to DM gamemode.

When i bought the game, the first thing i played was SP. But my first experience in MP was in NDition's duel server. That's where i trained my blocking, made some friends, and so forth. Dueling was fun, but the best part of duel servers for me were group games. For example, i remember we played guards vs robers once. There were the full mail swadian crossbowmen, and the nord bandits with plain armor. It was fun. You could also do long range duels, which i found awesome.

Sure, now NDition's is still pretty nice, since you can accept duels with up block like in the good old times. But group games, which you won't be able to do anywhere else, are dead.

This is a big server with many people going in and playing there regularly, and many admins. So what would be the problem with changing game mode to DeathMatch? It will give more freedom to people who consent in killing each other without warning, make all sorts of fun group games, and make it more enjoyable overall. If it worked before, why shouldn't it work now?

I agree, deathmatch is more fun, especially on Frosty's Ruin's, admin is not as fun anymore, the fun days where you had to run after the randomers and try and find who they were ^_^

Too bad archer free for all is 100% dead on my map. =/ That was fun.

Why is it dead? It can still work in the ruins, sort of like a guerilla warfare :p.

Its not archer free for all with the duel mode, only 2 people can duel, and that's not fun.
The archer arena was created for big archer free for all battles, not 1v1.

Oh ya, but it wouldn't be dead with DM . That's why i'm requesting for it to be back.

We had this topic already enough times. The problem is that after the duel mode patch, people who wants to duel are searching in the server list for duel mode server.
DM mode would cause just stupid randoming now. We stay at duel mode even if I miss the randomer hunt sometimes
To this we still have special server events where are other modes activated...

Willow made a great job. The system is better than on all other duel servers.

NDitions is well known enough to live without being a duel server. You could make more advertisement on TW, or i could make, or several people. Randommers get insta banned like before, i guess?

Maybe a set time in the week when deathmatch mode is running, like a "classic" day or something, would be interesting.

But completely getting rid of the duel mode would not be a good idea. Most of the banned users have recently been unbanned, and we never banned instantly, we always kicked first. And even though it worked decently, it will work worse nowadays since alot less people (even if still rather many) will realize Ndition's is a duel server when it's not running duel mode.
Also, admins can not always be online.

So, keep an eye open for events, and, as I said, maybe making events more regular and including a "classic days" event every week where for one day, deathmatch mode is running, might be a nice change.
